What kind of power can a simple pink tutu hold?
At UEIS, we believe in nurturing students who are not only academically strong but also globally empathetic. On 10/19, our students and teachers ran the Pink Tutu Run, connecting a local event with a powerful, global message of love and support.
Many may see the joyous sight of our students and teachers completing the “2025 Pink Tutu Run” in their vibrant skirts . However, the ‘Tutu Project’ originates from the touching story of photographer Bob Carey, who started taking humorous pictures of himself in a pink tutu to support his wife, Linda, during her battle with breast cancer. This powerful act evolved into an international movement, using humor and vulnerability to raise funds and bring hope to those affected by the disease. This spirit of compassion and community engagement is at the heart of UEIS‘s holistic education.
Led by Teacher Nico, a group of 10 students and 3 teachers enthusiastically participated and completed the run . This event perfectly reflects our commitment to holistic development, balancing rigorous academics with social engagement and leadership. For our students, wearing the pink tutu was not just a symbol of youthful energy but a powerful declaration of courage, confidence, and the strength of love . Every stride taken was for health, for love, and for radiating the bright energy of the UEIS community .
We were deeply moved by the strong presence of our supportive community. Two sets of parents came out to cheer, and Director of Student Affairs, Candace, personally attended to encourage everyone . This unwavering support highlights one of our Unique Value Propositions: providing a nurturing, safe, and supportive boarding environment that fosters a strong sense of community. We instill a passion for lifelong learning and global contribution, preparing students for success not just in top universities, but in making a positive impact on the world.
