Ian Tsai, a Grade 11 student at United Education International School (UEIS), brings a diverse educational background from his time at an international school in Japan. Immersed in our American-style education, Ian has consistently demonstrated exceptional linguistic proficiency, achieving a perfect score of 9.0 in IELTS Speaking and a remarkable overall band score of 8.0. However, true to the UEIS spirit of academic excellence, Ian refuses to rest on his laurels, embodying a profound passion for lifelong learning.

As one of the world's most influential climate summits, COP30 was held in the heart of the Amazon—Belém, Brazil—under the theme "Climate is Life: Region of Solutions," focusing on the sustainable coexistence of humanity and nature.
Practicing Global Vision: A Journey of 800 Kilometers
Representing his community alongside two youth partners, Ian undertook a grueling 100-hour journey covering over 800 kilometers to reach Belém. Rather than sightseeing, Ian immediately engaged in grassroots action—venturing into the Amazon rainforest to observe environmental issues firsthand and advocate for climate action.
For Ian, this journey represents a vital link between the American-style curriculum and real-world global issues. Far more valuable than any grade is the global perspective, cross-cultural communication skills, and the ability to translate knowledge into action cultivated through UEIS’s globally-minded education.
