At United Education International School, student safety and well-being are paramount. On September 17th, in conjunction with Taiwan's National Disaster Prevention Day, our entire school community participated in a comprehensive earthquake drill. This initiative was a key part of our ongoing commitment to a supportive community and holistic education.
The drill, led by our Student Affairs Officer Samuel, provided crucial instruction on immediate safety protocols. Students learned to "drop, cover, and hold on" and practiced orderly evacuation from classrooms and dormitories to designated safe zones. This exercise was more than a simulation; it was a practical application of our core values, empowering students with the knowledge and skills to act decisively in an emergency.
By actively participating, our students and staff reinforced their understanding of emergency preparedness and honed their judgment in critical situations. This practical experience is vital to our mission of preparing students not only for global success but also for responsible citizenship.
We extend our gratitude to our families for their continued support in helping us foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
